The H4J Club attended a field trip to the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
First, we went on a guided tour of the Louisiana Supreme Court Museum and learned about the history of the building, the justice system, and our Louisiana judges.
Next, we entered the Louisiana Law Library, which we learned is open to the public, and saw the variety of law books. In addition, we listened to a presentation about the Rare Book Room and saw many samples of unique historical books.
Lastly, we looked at both courts and learned about the judicial process in the courtroom. This included the tours of both the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal and Judge Lobrano’s Chambers.
